Chrome Extension
Setup Instructions
Step 1
Visit the Linguisity Chrome Extension page at the Chrome Web Store.
Step 2
Next click the 'Add to Chrome' button.
Step 3
To install the extension, click on the 'Add extension' button in the popup window of the Chrome Web Store.
Step 4
To pin the Linguisity Chrome Extension, click the extension button located in the Chrome Toolbar and then click the pin button.
Step 5
To activate the Linguisity Chrome Extension, click on the Linguisity icon located in the Chrome Toolbar.
Alternatively, you can achieve the same result by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+F on Windows or COMMAND+SHIFT+F on macOS.
If necessary, please sign in to your Linguisity account.
Step 6
To enhance your writing on any website, select the text you would like Linguisity to improve.
Then, on Windows, press CTRL+SHIFT+F, or on macOS, press COMMAND+SHIFT+F to open the Linguisity panel.
Alternatively, you can click the Linguisity icon in the Chrome Toolbar to activate the extension.
The highlighted text will appear in the panel that opens when using the Linguisity Chrome extension. From there, you can click the 'enhance text' button to improve the text. Additionally, you have the option to select the desired target language.
Step 7
Once the enhancement is complete, you will be able to see the results in the same panel, along with an explanation of the changes that have been made.
If you are satisfied with the enhancement, you can click on the Copy icon in the Result section to add it to your clipboard.
Step 8
To return to the website you are working with, click outside of the panel and paste the corrected version over the highlighted text to replace it with the enhanced version.
(Optional Step 9)
To modify the keyboard shortcut that is being used, open a new browser tab and navigate to chrome://extensions/
On the left side, click on the 'Keyboard shortcuts' link. Locate the Linguisity Chrome Extension in the list of extensions and click on the pencil icon to edit the shortcut.
